Suh Young Chung

Dr. Chung is Associate Dean and Professor of the Division of International Studies of Korea University. He is also currently a Member of the Policy Advisory Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea and Director of the Center for Climate and Sustainable Development Law and Policy (CSDLAP) of Seoul International Law Academy. Previously, Professor Chung was a Visiting Faculty of Sciences Po (2014/2015), a Member of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), which is the governing body of this new intergovernmental organization, a Member of the Honorary Committee to Host Green Climate Fund (GCF) and a Member of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth of Korea. Professor Chung has closely advised various ministries of Korea on climate change negotiations as a part of the Korean delegation.


Professor Chung has also published numerous articles and books both in Korean and in English including Suh-Yong Chung ed., Post 2020 Climate Change Regime Formation, 2013, Routledge and appeared in many prestigious conferences in various parts of the world. Professor Chung holds degrees in Law and International Relations from Seoul National University, London School of Economics and Stanford Law School.
