Currently, he is a principal policy researcher at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), mainly in charge of institute-wide flagship projects. Since joining IGES in 2005, he has led various research projects on sustainable development policy, including sustainable resource management and sustainable ecosystem use.
