Christian Lechervy is a French diplomat. He currently is the High representative for France with the Pacific community. Before taking over this position, he was the diplomatic advisor for Asia to the Elysée Palace and a member of the “CAPS” (Centre for Strategy, Analysis and Prospective) at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He had been posted as the French Ambassador to Turkmenistan (2006-2010) and held various positions as an advisor to cabinet members in several governments (Defence and
Foreign affairs). Christian graduated from Paris Dauphine University (Economy), Paris I (Defence and international relations) and Sciences Po Paris. He authored several books on South East Asia and humanitarian action, the field where he started his professional career and which has always been close to his heart.
